Cancellation & Refund Policy
At Unscripted Thrills, we understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to keep the process transparent and fair while accounting for the advance commitments made towards transportation, accommodation, permits, camps, guides, and other trip arrangements.
National Treks & Tours
The following cancellation charges apply to national-level treks and tours:
- More than 40 days before departure: 10% cancellation charge
- 21–40 days before departure: 25% cancellation charge
- 11–20 days before departure: 50% cancellation charge
- 3–10 days before departure: 75% cancellation charge
- Within 48 hours of departure: 100% cancellation charge
Local Treks, Tours & Camps
The following cancellation charges apply to local and regional trips:
- More than 20 days before departure: 10% cancellation charge
- 11–20 days before departure: 25% cancellation charge
- 6–10 days before departure: 50% cancellation charge
- 3–5 days before departure: 75% cancellation charge
- Within 48 hours of departure: 100% cancellation charge
Cancellation Request
- Cancellation requests must be submitted through the participant’s registered email address to info@unscriptedthrills.com or by contacting +91 78020 10425.
- Cancellation will be considered valid only after the request is received and acknowledged by Unscripted Thrills.
- Cancellation charges are calculated on the total booking/tour fee.
- Payment gateway charges, transaction charges, convenience fees, and other non-refundable charges are not refundable.
- Non-refundable expenses already incurred towards transportation, accommodation, permits, activities, or third-party services may be deducted separately.
Refund Processing
Eligible refunds will be processed within 10–15 working days after cancellation approval and will be made through bank/account transfer only.
Important Terms
- No refund will be provided for no-shows, late arrivals, or voluntary withdrawal from a trek, tour, or camp after departure.
- Bookings are non-transferable to another person or another departure unless specifically approved by Unscripted Thrills.
- If a trip is cancelled or modified by Unscripted Thrills due to weather, safety concerns, government restrictions, operational reasons, natural disasters, or other unavoidable circumstances, the applicable refund or alternative arrangement will be communicated separately.
- Refunds in such circumstances will depend on recoverable amounts from third-party service providers and expenses already incurred.
- For specific departures or special packages, booking-specific cancellation terms may apply. The terms mentioned in the booking confirmation will prevail.
- By confirming a booking, participants acknowledge and agree to the Unscripted Thrills Cancellation & Refund Policy.
